I have always loved this musical. I know that saying "The role of Elphaba is one of my dream roles!" is said by a ton of musical theatre fans, but honestly who can blame us? It's a wonderful story and role! I hope I did this song some justice. After 20+ takes, I realized I could sit here and pick apart my flaws and dislikes of watching myself in a video all day long and would never complete this video at that rate, so after 20+ takes I thought, "Just post it, lady!" While there were a few translations out there, I really enjoyed David Caruso'a rendition of this song, so his lyrics are the one I chose. Also, it turns out trying to pronounce everything correctly, play the right chords, look at the camera, and make not stupid faces at the same time ended up being really difficult. 😂 I did my best (and wasn't ready to record again after 30 tries😂). ❤♡💚 Hope you enjoy! Only way to get better at anything (like making videos) is through practice, and the only way to get past the fear and anxiety of putting yourself out there is to simply stop thinking about it and just do it! And learn where to look for the camera. 🤦‍♀️
